In more complex cases, I will help you to determine if it is necessary for an Expert Witness to evaluate your case. The two areas where Expert Witnesses can be invaluable in assisting the courts are in financial and child custody matters. If the courts approve an Expert Witness in your case, the Expert will evaluate the best interests of the children.
Experts can also be used for tracing financial information if you suspect that your spouse has hidden any assets or financial information. If hidden assets are discovered after the divorce, the divorce case can be re-opened.
It is always best to try to resolve your case without an Expert Witness; however, in some cases it may be necessary to pay for an Expert Witness upon approval of the court.
